Meet my students & More
Each of my students has a story to tell
Since the beginning of my teaching in the United States, I have encouraged (but not required) my students to write in Spanish. Many of them have taken up the challenge with enthusiasm – producing wonderful essays, fiction, personal narratives, and translations related to themes we discuss in class. We make corrections together, which is fun for all of us as we participate with comments and questions.
I created this section in order to share the writing of my students – most of whom are native English speakers working to master Spanish. For those who prefer to remain anonymous, pseudonyms are used. Others choose to use their own name, and to share a bit of information about themselves. The section is organized by theme. It’s been a pleasure to participate in this project – where we get to share aspects of our lives in class while at the same time practicing Spanish.
