I was born and grew up in Mexico City. There I taught at universities, middle and high schools, published in magazines, newspapers, and historical journals, and for many years edited a magazine for one of Mexico’s top research universities. For the past 20 years, I have been teaching Spanish in the United States, mostly in the San Francisco Bay Area, where it is especially useful and important to know Spanish. I also do translating and proofreading.

What People Are Saying

“Learning a foreign language is a strange project, particularly as an adult. It takes lots of time and effort and you need patience. So learning to somehow enjoy the ride is one of the most important tricks to learn. But how do you learn to enjoy the ride? For me, this is where Teresa shines”.

— John R.

“I started with no Spanish capability at all and now i am comfortable when traveling, or talking on the phone, or even complaining to a ticket agent that he sold me the wrong class ticket. She is fun, knowledgeable, and effective. Try it!”.

— Pepperminsky R.
